‘Jazz à Vienne Sydney’, in the Hawkesbury - MUSIC TO YOUR EARS!! Jazz à Vienne Sydney , now in its 3rd year in the Hawkesbury, is made possible by the partnership of the Vienne Action Culturelle, France, (M.Patrick Dussenne) ,the city of Vienne France, and local Music Educator , Rory J Thomas OAM, a Professeur of the Académie Ponsard, associate and friend of the French Festival'. The Jazz a Vienne Sydney Festival is back with a week of great jazz in the Hawkesbury district. As well as showcasing top Australian talent like Dan Barnett, The Catholics and Zooo Superbande, we'll be introducing some fabulous International jazz artists to Australian audiences. From Tokyo we present chanteuse Charito and supporting her French pianist/composer Alain Mayeras. And look out for our special FREE outdoor concert "Sunset Jazz" on October 17 where you can sit back and relax with a picnic or sample the local cuisine in the historic heart of Windsor enjoying the great jazz vibes. As part of our commitment to youth in jazz, we're running another Youth Jazz Band Competition with over $1000 in prizemoney. Go to the Band Comp page for entry forms.
